Xbox Live Gold: One of Nine Games to Leave Service on New Year’s Day is Outer Wilds.
External Wilds, the acclaimed time circle experience from Mobius Advanced, is among nine titles leaving Xbox Game Pass at the turn of the new year. In its most recent Xbox blog, Microsoft’s subscription service, which is known to shuffle its library of games monthly, did not mention the removal of these games. However, a look at the Xbox app’s “Leaving Soon” section reveals that nine games are on track to leave the service on January 1, 2023. This is basically official because it is in the Xbox app.
Outer Wilds, one of the best games to leave Game Pass, has a bizarre premise in which you play as an unknown space explorer trapped in a time loop. The planets and particles in the solar system are reset to their original state every 22 minutes when the star in our solar system explodes. Not to be confused with the space-themed space RPG The Outer Worlds, which is also available on Game Pass. In this one, you have to find out what happened to an extinct race and solve the big mystery.

In July, Outer Wilds received a Game Pass upgrade that enabled 60 frames per second on the Xbox Series S/X. The game will soon leave the platform.
Scarlet Nexus, developed by Square Enix, is one of the major titles to leave the service. In it, you’ll use your psychokinetic abilities to fight your way through expert hack-and-slash missions in an effort to unravel the mysteries of a Brain Punk future. The Pedestrian, a PlayStation game that was recently added to the PS Plus Extra and Deluxe catalog, will also be gone on January 1.
As a day-one launch, Xbox added Hello Neighbor 2 to its subscription service earlier this month. The game takes you back to Raven Brooks and lets you spy on your creepy neighbor as an investigative journalist. Even though that is only available as a single-player experience, its multiplayer spin-off, Secret Neighbor, will be removed from Game Pass on January 1st.

Xbox Game Pass will say farewell to the accompanying nine games, beginning January 1, 2023.

Before they leave Game Pass for good, you can choose to purchase all of these games at a 20% discount. Additionally, Microsoft is holding its annual Xbox Countdown Sale until January 2, 2023, offering substantial discounts on a number of games. Games like Elden Ring, Gotham Knights: Need for Speed Unbound and Deluxe Edition received their first discounts since launch.
11 exciting additions to Xbox Game Pass were made available earlier in December, including three day-one launches: Chained Echoes, a retro-styled role-playing game, and Justin Roiland’s High on Life and Hello Neighbor 2. Additionally, the highly acclaimed Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, in which all nine episodes of the epic film series’ comedic interpretations are relived. Metal: Helsinger, a mood based, evil presence killing experience, likewise at last came to Xbox One.
