Tablet PC ,According to CyberMedia Research, the demand for 5G capable devices increased during the three months of July through September, which helped the tablet PC market in India grow by 22% quarter over quarter.
The tablet market is expected to increase by a healthy 10-15% in 2022, according to CMR.
Samsung dominated the market with a 28 percent market share during the quarter, followed by Lenovo and Apple with 26 and 19 percent market shares, respectively.
In the lead-up to the holiday season, shipments of 5G-capable tablets increased, according to CMR’s Tablet PC Market Report Review for Q3, 2022. “The India tablet market expanded 22 percent quarter-over-quarter,” it added.
CMR reports that PC shipments in India increased by 68% in the second quarter.
In Q2 2022, sales of value-for-money tablets priced between $10,000 and 20,000 increased by 142% sequentially.
According to Cyber Media Research, the tablet PC market in India grew 68% year on year to exceed 800,000 units shipped in the April-June quarter (CMR). Shipments of 5G tablets increased 71% year on year during the quarter, while sales of 4G tablets increased 65% year on year.
CMR admitted that the growth figures could be skewed because tablet PC sales were impacted last year by regional lockdowns in April and May. The market research firm, on the other hand, believes that demand is still strong and will rise in the coming months.
Shipments of tablets with an 8-inch display made up 43% of total tablet shipments.
